Privacy Policy
Last updated October 23, 2026
lap54.com is a personal website run by Patrick McDonough (“I,” “me”) from Massachusetts, USA. I built it to share a personal project, not to collect data. This policy explains the little that does get collected.
What I collect
- Nothing you type in. The public site has no forms, accounts, comments or newsletter.
- Basic server data. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Anonymous traffic counts (if enabled). I may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without tracking you across sites.
- Pit Lane sign-in. The private Pit Lane area is protected by Cloudflare Access. If I invite you, you sign in with your email address and a one-time code. Cloudflare then keeps you signed in with an authentication cookie. I can see which invited emails signed in and when.
- Emails you send me. If you write to hello@lap54.com, I'll have your email and message, and I'll only use them to reply.
What I don't do
No advertising, no ad trackers, no selling or renting personal information, and no sharing it with anyone except the service providers needed to run the site (Cloudflare).
Links to other sites
Links to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, pmcdonough.com and others take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
Children
This site isn't directed to children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the public site works without them. To ask what I have about you, or to have your Pit Lane access or emails deleted, write to hello@lap54.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and I'll honor reasonable requests either way.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update the date at the top of this page.
